Project Overview

MetroPulse is an urban data platform that brings cities, populations and residents together in a single, real-time dashboard. The frontend is a modern Next.js 14 + TypeScript application with a custom violet-fuchsia design system, while a FastAPI service exposes the city and people records through a REST API.

I designed and built the full experience end to end — the API integration layer, the responsive dashboard components and the data-driven UI. The app gracefully falls back to a bundled demo dataset when the API is unavailable, so it deploys and renders flawlessly on Vercel.
